Canoe Paddling at Island Lake, Silverdale WA (3-19-2011)
It was such a beautiful day after a couple weeks of wet weather. I hiked about 7 miles with a friend on a local trail in the morning. Then, my son, Danny wanted to do something outside. So, we headed to the Island Lake with a canoe. Last time we paddled together was last June.... It was a short trip but felt good paddling around the lake on a calm day. The city and county cleared most of the water lillies around the lake. We talked about Danny's college life, most likely at Washington State University (WSU) late this summer. It was a great time together between father and son. Hope that he remembers this...
