Mountain-Biking from Ueland Tree Farm to Green Mt Vista ---15.6 miles with 2000 ft elev gain. Sunday, 10-7-2012)
It was a last minute trip. Time spent was 0915-1300. On the day before, I asked Paul if he wanted to mountain-bike to Green Mt summit. He was interested Other than kayak paddling, I also wanted to bike once in a while to keep myself in shape. Advantage of mountain biking is that one gets a good leg exercise in a short time period. I could bike the Clear Creek Trail in town but wanted away from the urban area. It was supposed to be quite easy biking but on the way back, I had cramps on both legs. It was also my first mountain biking since my rib was injured back in April. I thought that I pushed too hard trying to keep up with Paul. Paul has some issues with his knees and right arm so he slowed down quite a bit for me. However, his slowest pace is my fastest. I was also equipped with a cheap bike. Nevertheless, it was another beautiful day. I was not quite exhausted or fatigue, but was little concerned with my legs since I wanted to hike Mt Ellinor next day with the Monday Hikers.
